Title: Exact and approximate solutions to the quasilinear wave equation

Abstract:
The talk discusses the situations when the Cauchy problem for the quasilinear wave equation is integrated in quadratures in the class of multivalued solutions. In particular, the case of simple Riemann waves. Also a difference scheme that allows to approximate multivalued solutions is constructed. The approximate solutions constructed using this scheme are compared with exact solutions.
