Title: The equivalence problem for second and third order ordinary differential equations

Abstract:
In the first part of the talk I will report the solution of the equivalence problem for ODEs of the second order w.r.t. the pseudo-group of point transformations. In the second part, I will review results of M.Godlinski's thesis (arXiv:0810.2234) on the equivalence problem for the third-order ODEs w.r.t. the pseudo-group of contact transformations.
