| abstract = In the context of differential calculus over arbitrary graded commutative algebras, we will describe a special class of short exact sequences of functors of differential calculus (in Vinogradov's sense) and discuss how they may be interpreted as higher order Atiyah sequences. Time permitting, we will discuss the corresponding notion of the Atiyah class in this setting.
